Building circles of support
around drug affected infants
and their foster families.
Why Supportive
|
Thousands of infants are born each year having been prenatally exposed to drugs. Many of these babies require extended hospital stays to manage neonatal abstinence syndrome and other medical concerns subsequent to their prenatal substance exposures. Addiction is a complex disease and foster families are a valuable resource for promoting best outcomes for these babies. These infants can present many caregiving challenges that are often not fully recognized until the baby is being cared for in a home environment. Proactive education and support is invaluable. |
Our VisionTo Support best care and placement stability by:
Providing Welcome Home Baby Kits to Foster Parents that contain products known to support best care for drug affected infants. Providing educational booklets and tracking journals. Providing access to Hailey’s Hope Equipment Lending Library. Matching the foster family with a peer support mentor. |
